Are you asking 1. which brand of kalkwasser people are using or 2. what trace elements to adding conjunction?

If 1. Mrs wages pickling lime. I have been using it for 20 years.

If 2. Nothing. I run along a side a calcium reactor and do a small weekly water change.

I dose Kalk and use Fauna Marin Multi elements A and B as it was made for use with Kalk or Calcium reactor so it does not have ALK or Calcium in it and i use 16ml of each per week for a 215 gal total water volume tank

Don't dose any trace elements! Do a 5% water change twice a month.

that may be “adequate”, or not, but it cannot hope to maintain fast depleting trace elements such as iron and manganese at levels found in the salt mix.

Hi All

I dose Kalkwasser, nightly, as well as, dosing individual elements, either via dosing pumps or manually.
I will be going away for a few days and I would like to make sure my manual elements get dosed.
I see two alternatives:
1. Mixing said elements with my Kalkwasser solution.
2. Dosing a bit more of the elements before I leave.
I'd prefer to mix them with my Kalkwasser, but if that is problematic, I was was wondering if doubling the dosage, before I leave would be a problem?
The Elements are:
CO, CR, I, ZN, K, FE, RB, SE, V, MB and B

I wouldn’t dose anything.. element wise.. do a water change and go on vacation and when you get back and can see what’s going visually start back on your trace elements if that’s your thang. The tank isn’t gonna suffer without them as I’ve never dosed them in my 20 years. I do water changes and feed heavily.. I do use all for reef now which contains all the elements but I’m using that as a back up to my kalk which does the majority of the lifting. So I’m sure my elements are always low and I don’t care to test for them because everything in my tank looks happy.

I would just skip the days you are gone.

Some can be put in kalk and some (e.g., iron) cannot.

I too would just wait. Making changes before being away is the classic recipe for problems that were not anticipated.

I’d also stop dosing rubidium. It has no known use in any known organism.
