Does anyone put grease on the kamoer x1 pump heads? Mine is a little loud and I wanted to grease it but can’t find anything about it, full disclosure it’s not exactly the kamoer x1 but the pump head is exactly the same

I don’t think the drive spindle is press fitted. There should be a set screw to hold it in place

The head is just 3 floating wheels set in the protective tube housing. Even a drop of water on the wheels transfers to the spindle, preventing drive. I’ve had it happen on the DD version of the X1.

Here's a kamoer pump head. The motor shaft just gets stuffed in there and it directly drives the wheels that are in contact with the tubing. If grease gets on those wheels, the motor shaft it going to slip. On something like a Versa, the wheels are in contact with the tubing but aren't anywhere near the motor shaft, so grease on the wheels isn't going to transfer itself to the shaft (which I suspect it splined anyways).

Yea that won’t work if its press fitted
A direct drive would work
