All good - no need to apologize. I was just trying to understand what you are using once I saw the higher Violet.

Thank you for sharing. Also not sure what Saxby's settings are - didn't know they are running them.

This was your settings above, right?

2 360x peak at 80% intensity, 20% color, 80% uv, 15% Red, 8% green. Sunrise and sunset same spectrum just the “color” ramps from 0 to 20 then back down.

So you are setting intensity to 80%?

20% color
80% UV
15% Red
8% Green

I've never set my UV that high with the rest so low. I'll have to demo that and see what it looks like.
80% intensity
20% color
80% violet/uv
25% Red
15% green

Green drops and color drops when it’s sunset. UV drops to 40% as well.

AI lights have presets of world known reefers who have had great success. This is my 360x version of that.

Agree 100%, took some pics with an orange filter for the 1st time with my phone and they sure pop in color. Full tank shot is with no filter.

So I have the 360x with the rigid mounting arm. Curious question. I've had the light on a 25g ext lagoon tank for around 5 months or so. I have the light centered up and mounted on the backwall. Since set up, Part of the light mount has been partially submerged in water. Didnt really think much of it until recently. Now I'm curious if this can affect my water parameters over time due to possible corrosion? Should I move the mount up out of the water and if I did would it still be strong enough to support the light? I have noticed coraline growing on the submerged area of light mount. Just worried over time about the coating flaking off or corrosion over time. Attached is a pic I snapped on my cell. Any input would be welcome and appreciated.

I have had mine the same way on multiple tanks... including a 20g nano. No issues. You'll be fine. Never corrodes. Just your basic build up.

Back to the original ask .....

I bought a couple of 360x on day one. Had some initial QC issues, but Kessil quickly resolved those. Xs went in as a replacement for two 360WE (one of which had recently failed). I do not use these Kessil as my sole source of lighting, so probably no surprise that swapping two X in has made not a bit of difference in the growth or coloration of my tank. Anyone expecting huge differences will, I think, find themselves disappointed. Aesthetics aside, there are some nice features. They do dim down better than the older models (though still flawed). I don’t personally find the additional colors useful, but others may demur. It will be interesting to see whether the new design allows for a longer useful life. I’ve had a number of my older WE models die between 3 and 4 years (in part because I’m bad about opening them up for a good cleaning). The X design is apparently less vulnerable to dust problems. We shall see.

I was simply curious. I remember my first reef tank, my kids were flipping coins in my tank making wishes. Only reason I caught it was corals were acting up and I seen a sliver of a dime sticking out of the sand.
That being said, I enjoy the 360x, seems to have unlocked some missing colors in zoas and palys for me, even a small fungia plate I have is changing color under them..... more color. I use the uv and 1 red and 2 green at peak daylight, no fancy clouds or light shows though. Simple to adjust program as well

I have 2 160s on my naono... 4 360s on my 108g

I love the color and the programability. I love the shimmer. MY ONLY BEEF, is that the par levels are pretty low . Need a par meter for coral placement and knowing what you're getting out of them and where

I did a 3 month review of the Kessil A360X, that was about 3 months ago now... so I have been running them for 6 months total

I stand by everything I said in my 3 month review, and have had awesome growth continue since then as well!

Also here is my lighting schedule and program

8 months in with my 360x and no complaints acro’s and monti’s are growing great in the upper half of the tank and zoas and LPS are doing good lower down. I’m going to buy a second to eliminate shadowing as I can already see it on some of my mini colonies
