I have a 5' 120 tank, it is 24" deep. I have kessil coming for the main light, 3 of them. I plan to run a dual t5 strip as well. Question is, how high off the tank should I run them?

Planning a sps dominate, but would like some lps down low if I can.

Thanks papadragon. Will see how that works for a good start. Are you growing sps with yours?

mine are also about 10" above and I've got sps growing nicely with them. here's one example that's been in the tank since first week of May. It's about 3" to 4" across.

Here is 3 of them on 48x26x20tall.

Eckolancer, do you have any concerns about using the mounting arms on a rimless? No concerns over the weight or anything? I'm planning on doing the same with mine but was a bit hesitant as this is my first rimless. Almost same dimensions as yours.

No concerns at all, they have been on the tank for a while now. As long as you had someone that you trust to build the tank you will be ok.
