I have two A360s on my RS 300xl and I’m not in love with the look of the schedule I have. I absolutely love the radion xr30 that is on my water box. Is there anyway to make the the schedule more blue to make the corals pop? Any lighting schedules that you guys use would be sweet if you wouldn’t mind sharing it

Do you have the old generation A360s or the current generation A360Xs? What are your current color settings?

Yeah sorry it’s the a360x. Atm I’m running the preset tuna blue but I had seen a schedule that someone had posted on here but they were also using t5s and I ended up not liking it so I reverted back to the preset which I know is not the best. I also don’t have the Wi-Fi puck and use the controller. Is the puck better? Debating on buying it but also debating on getting radions. Obviously I’d like to keep the Kessils since they are fairly new.

I have Kessils and am happy but there is alot of preference here that makes blanket recommendations hard. For me the violet is very important to getting the look I want but I really don't want a windex blue look. I want a crisp blue that reminds me of a 20k radium. I really like 100% intensity 100% violet 40% Red 10% green and 40% color.

You’ll need 100% violet for sure, but if you’re currently not using it, then bring it up slowly. I’ve found the sweet spot for me was between 20-40% color. Red and green usually below 20, but I would start around 5% each and see what you prefer. You should have a peak intensity between 6-8hrs and a ramp up/down length of your choosing (2-3hrs is more than enough).
If you want a more specific schedule, then I can post an example that’s worked for me for 7+ years.
If you want crazy pop, then look into adding a LED bar and I would start with Quanta Pro OG Pop.

Awesome! Thanks for the advice. I’ll have to see what I’m rocking intensity wise and and colors. @minus9 i would love to see what you have been rocking. 7 years is a long time so obviously it has to work.

I've used a slight variation to my 12hr schedule for this whole time. Essentially I like to add a couple mid day points that allow me to increase the intensity in smaller increments. So my peak period will be broken up into two parts. This allows me to raise the mid day points by a few % for a week or two, then I move the "outside" points to match. But you could easily strip those away and go with a straight 6-8hr peak period with smaller % bumps.
For my last tank running six 360x's, here's what I had for my schedule. This was sps dominant.
Time/Col/Int/Violet/Red/Grn
7:55 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0
8:00 - 0 - 10 - 0 - 0 - 0
10:00 - 25 - 92 - 100 - 0 - 0 (mid day 2nd % increase)
14:00 - 35 - 100 - 100 - 0 - 0 (mid day 1st % increase)
16:00 - 35 - 100 - 100 - 0 - 0 (mid day 1st % increase)
18:00 - 25 - 92 - 100 - 0 - 0 (mid day 2nd % increase)
20:00 - 0 - 10 - 0 - 0 - 0
20:05 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0 - 0
I think 5-10% R&G is fine and will highlight some fish colors and excite a few colors in corals. These colors are purely to highlight and are not meant to induce fluorescence. Too strong of intensity of R&G could spark some algae growth? You'll have to adjust the intensity and color to your liking and for your particular corals, but the points have served me well. When adding violet, match your intensity and slowly add it.
Hope this helps?

I have to agree that the violet is absolutely necessary. You won’t get that pop without it and you won’t unlock violet with the dongle. Well worth it for the visual appeal. Better to buy the dongle than a reefbrite.

I run the Kessil AP9X on my 300 xl. I keep the color at 30 until the last 1.5 hours I then go to 0 color while it’s ramping down for the night. Everything pops during that hour and a half. I do an intense 4 hour photo period early in the day, it kind of loads the corals up for that fluorescent pop at the end of the night.

Here’s a look at the scape. I also have the park readings from 35 power up to 55 if that helps you out.

What par values were you measuring ?
