They actually work great for hard to keep sea anemones that like to sit at the bottom of tanks. I have 3 on my 220 mixed reef that is 24” deep keep them about 12” above the tank

How many would you use on a 3ft x 2ft x 2ft tank?
I am thinking 2.

Or Hybrid T5 plus 2 x 360X...
Or AP9X

I like the 500 as I could mount them really high for a clean look.
Comments?
Two with the narrowest reflector would do well mounted 4 feet above the water.

Was reading through the thread and thought I would comment. I just bought one based on their 36" x 36" coverage statements, but I don't think it's accurate not going to lie I was a bit disappointed. My tank is 36" x 36" and 30" deep so this seemed perfect for me.
I was using a hydra 64hd and 2x 26hds which I was going to sell but now I think I will keep the 2 26s to supplement.

Hi - I ended up buying 2 X ReeFi UNO led lights
Same power but better spread, 3 yr warranty, built in wifi controller and cheaper.
After reading post from people who have purchased them it was a no brainer.

Still think they look very cool.

You really need 2 A500X lights!
Nice tank
