Afternoon.
First this is BY NO MEANS a negative post about the Director OR GHL. I have pretty much every piece of GHL equipment they make. I just want people here to be aware of an issue I had with my director.
Again I AM VERY HAPPY with its performance. I can’t ask for anything more.
I ran this particular unit 8 times a day for the past 2 years. Rock solid until this am.

I wake up to an alarm from my P4. Check the app and it shows...

Doser not responding
Leakage detection.

Checked on all hoses
No water anywhere

Checked all power sources
All in working order.
BUT in GCC director was NOT responding to any commands.

Decided to take Director offline and open and inspect. And yes I am aware “opening the Director voids any warranty” but my unit is over 2 years old
I open the unit and found water everywhere. ☹️
One of the plastic hoses that pumps sample water to and from the measuring cell had a hole and obviously water leaked everywhere inside the Director. Luckily the Director has what I assume is a “leakage detector” at the floor of it and it stopped running more tests.
Please see attached pics for visuals. I am NOT an engineer and IMO the vibration from one of the hoses “melted” a small pinhole on the supply hose. I don’t know if it’s a common issue but I have searched everywhere in the forums and haven’t found anything. I am thinking about wrapping a piece of electrical tape VERY loosely around the tube to fix the issue on my spare Director to prevent this from happening again.
I haven’t also reached out to Vinny or GHL brass but did send an email this am
Thanks for reading.

ONE tube broke
I believe from them rubbing together.
The unit in the first pic got toasted due to water damage. The last pic shows my spare unit to which I applied a small piece of tape to hopefully avoid/prevent the issue.

Is there a recommended maintenance time for these tubes? Are there spare tubes available to buy @Vinny@GHLUSA ? I just want to make sure I can prevent that. My warranty is well gone at this point anyway.
