I have the IM Nuvo 10, 20, 120, and had the 40. The 538gph mightyjet is a decent pump. It replaced the MJ1200 as my universal use pump and I always have a few laying around JIC. The 328gph is temperamental at best. I’ve gone through 3-4 of them now on my IM10. It’s the flow for the entire tank so when it goes it’s bad. Sometimes I can just shake it and it starts flowing at full speed again, sometimes I replace the controller, sometimes the whole thing.

I actually have the Sicce 1.5 sitting next to it but I recently read reviews about noise and it’s a lot of work to replace if it hums.
Fingers crossed mine works well. I too have a few extras. I’ve also had a few of the smaller sicces and they have always been very noisy despite how quiet they’re supposed to be

Currently installing my MightyJet pump! The stand isn’t as organized as it could be but definitely more organized than I have been in that past! Tomorrow I plan on running all my dosing lines, as well as the lines for my DOS for AWC.

Currently battling Chrysophytes so I did a big cleaning today. I’ve really been struggling to raise nutrients so I’ve been actively dosing No3 and Po4. Finally got more phyto too. Otherwise, corals seem to be doing very well despite the Chrysophytes. Hopefully the start to go away over the next week or two

Tank update: Unfortunately, only my zoas survived yet another Dino outbreak. It’s been cleared up and I think it was due to me rushing things. I’m finally starting to get a phosphate reading! As much as I’d like to, I don’t plan on adding anything else for a few months due to my girlfriend and I starting our home search in a couple of weeks

Added some new corals. Picked up a pink birdsnest and the ARC 2020 Acro. Zoa garden is looking better than ever! Unfortunately I lost my Speckled Kraks.

If anyone has any ideas on getting rid of all those little particles please let me know. Currently running the IM UV in the first chamber so a sock is not an option. Wondering if maybe a skimmer would help.

Currently I am dosing magnesium, alkalinity, and phosphate. I hand dose nitrate and phosphate as needed. The dos changes out about .25 gallons per day. I may up that slightly in the future but I also do a 2.5 gallon manual change to get out detritus. Lastly I have the mighty jet control. Not a huge fan of the pump but I probably won’t be changing it any time soon.

After some careful thought, I have elected to take this tank in a different direction than originally planned (SPS Dominant). Currently debating between a mixed reef or potentially an NPS tank.

Super pumped! Ordered a small Venustus Angel which arrives Thursday. This is my absolute favorite fish and will also give me a reason to plan a future upgrade;)

Time for an update!

The tank went through a rough patch for about a month. Had some zoas and acans mysteriously start dying but I tweaked a few things and they are starting to recover. I’m planning on swapping out my Reefbreeder for a Prime as well. Pardon the angry leather, there’s a small patch of Dino’s going after it. I have my all time favorite coral (ultra orange hammer) arriving Friday and I can’t wait to post some pictures!

Got my orange hammer today from AquaSD along with a small ricordea as a freebie! Super impressed with my first purchase. Can’t wait to see how this hammer colors up!

Just moved the tank to the new house. Things do not look very happy but I’m hoping they’ll perk up. My tank currently struggles to get the temp above 76 but I’m hoping my temp probe just needs to be calibrated.

The good news is I finally got the OK to move up to a 60 cube. I don’t exactly have a timeline for when it will be up and running but I’m hoping to start making some purchases in the new year

Well the new tank is officially ordered. I was planning on staying with this tank much longer but there was a lot about this setup I didn’t like. The next tank is going to be a 40 gallon (30x18x18) and I will have a new thread up once most of the equipment gets here.

As a final update to this thread, everything did very well during the move. I made a switch to a G5 Radion and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made
