I split a rock today so I could frag a devils hand and remove some bad tissue. I found this in the split rock. It reminds of a cocoon of sorts. This rock has been in my tank for 3-4 yrs.

Has it moved at all or have you tried to pull it out? Reminds me of the part of a peanut worm you don't normally get to see. Not sure though. I would try to take it out to get better pictures

no it has not moved. Its doesn't respond to light. I think what ever it was is no long with us. It also felt a little rubbery

I have seen a peanut worm in the tank.

It looks like the shells I find in my garden. These fat white grub looking worms hatch out of them.

I had a lot of these in my rock but they were a pearly white color. Mine were dead as the rock was dry. Was this fella still alive?
