Not really. I have seen that I have a lot of N in the system - however - according to my nitrate test - nitrate is only around 1/3 of the total N content. I thought it was to much proteins in the water cause I skim very dry. Change the skimming to get more skimmate - total nitrogen doubled. Did not expect that. Either is my test wrong or it is something else. I can see that I´m rather high in organic carbon too

I need more "pins" if this should work. I need a SPs dominate reef. Not sure if it will happens - but the dream is still there. It works rather well with my SPS till early last summer. After that - it has have going downhill. For the moment - it looks like it works again with SPS. Will see if I change something or not in the future

For the moment - the aquarium is working good. I lost my small pipefish a week ago - do not know how and why - He/She just not show up one morning. The growth of hystrix is still very good - see picture

1 new fish have been introduced. I know - I will probably regret this later one. It is Parachaetodon ocellatus - a butterfly fish! I want to get rid of my filefish - but need a Aiptasia eater. I´ll test with this instead.

Your going to need a calcium reactor soon. Lol

Not so large aquarium - around 35 ml Core7 a day for the moment - but it is the clam I think.

can’t believe you got a butterfly- such an awesome fish! Out of curiosity why do you pick P. Ocellatus and not Chelmon rostratus?

It was first on the list but could not get one small enough and eating frozen artemia. This was in the right size - eat frozen artemia. Read a little about them and it seems that consensus is that it is rather reef safe, close to a Chelmon. This is a little thin and it eat slowly - we will see if it get enough food.

Still one of my favorite tanks on R2R Lasse. I am planning several new tanks but just can't settle on the filter design yet. You challenge me with your depth of knowledge in biological filtration. Would you change any of your design if you started over again?

Gorgeous tank, as always.
Why do you want to get rid of the Filefish?

Not really - but a larger refugium and a better way to solve the reversed circulation trough my DSB is on the bucket list

This current filefish seems to works well - but sooner or later - he/she will pick on my LPS. If this butterfly is better - it is a better choice for aiptasia removal than a filefish

Filefish have one very good trait - it is normally very easy to catch
