Just looking at your forage and made me think I could never achieve the wave motion you have in your tank. No matter what I set on my power heads. This could be just the size of the tank or the arrangement of my wave makers.
Just wondering if you could pit something up regarding that part of the setup.

Which type of Wavemakers do you have? I have two RW 8 placed behind my rockwork - 1 in each corner

The pump to the left is placed inside this module

I use Coral Box AqLink S1 and the pulse period is 0.7 sec

Since around 1.5 years I also have a Tunze Turbelle nanostream 6040 at the right side panel. Manage by my profilux and 0,7 sec puls

2 months ago - I got some soft corals without zooxanthella - it is a type that can be named tropical dead man's hand. They are difficult to have to manage in a reef aquarium but one of them have adapt very good

I have 1 SW2 each end of tank. There is plenty of flow but the swings are not wave like. I use jabeo’s own controller.
what i think is ruining the overall swings is the return flow is strong and creates a steady circle stream what the wave makers can not break up and haven’t find a setting or positioning so fare would create those desired swings.

Try to set one as slave - the other as master. Shortest wave (i´ll think it position 1). The knob at around eleven (it means take it as long at left you can - turn it up to around 11 a´clock)

This law should be mirrored all around the world.
We have something similar In england if go to the national companies like maidenhead aquatics/pets are us etc ,not as detailed as what lasse posted but gives recommended tank size and temperament of fish and scientific name and size the fish grows and 1- 2 more things of remember correctly, if its law here im not to sure and probably not but my local lfs that sells only freahwater fish only and small family store they do something similar but other lfs I never seen do .
But it is helpful reading information about a fish and picture of fish so know basics etc

But yeah if all did it would be extremely helpful

I'm not so keen on scientific names for fish as some words hard to say and very long etc but if all world called it same fish then be good but surgeon fish in German ive read on r2r that Germans call them doctor fish so translation would change some fish names slightly. Obviously if all using latin name all be same but I don't personally like that pfffft

Even Maidenhead onl

Even Maidenhead only shows scientific names and pictures for some of the fish. Sometimes I just stand there and not sure if the fish I am looking at is the fish I know in a different name.
you know when I see things clowns £20 written with a pen on the glass gives me the feeling they didn’t make the effort to properly give the info.
pets at home is a hint better at this but they stopped most cichlids and no longer do reef at all.
as per scientific names English is my second language and Latin names even if I struggle to pronounce them sometimes really help me especially with corals it would put an end on fancy naming them.
I would fight for this if I wouldn’t think my energy would be used better somewhere else like bann plastic packages, ban using expressions like sustainable fishing or tuna marked with dolphin safe etc. maybe once retired :)

If you have the scientific name - as an example Plectranthias inermis copy it and go here just paste

Hit enter and a new window open up and you get a lot of informations -incl accepted trade name

There is not much of aquaristic information but you have something to start with.
