Thank you, appreciate the feedback.Sorry, cant help. Never dosed into the skimmer.
Good Luck.

I assumed you would say that Randy, and yes, I agree, and I am using polyfilter. But what would be a safe dose you would recommend?
That's what I am doing already. How much should each dose be?If you can split the daily dose, which should not be large to begin with, into 48 separate doses, that seems reasonable to me. Going slow is very desirable.
Guys I appreciate the conversation, but would like to keep it on topic. I am trying to find out what the maximum single dose is.
If you need to dose 200ml, divide that by 48 and that’ll give you 4.1ml. So do 4 ml per dose. That's what I am doing already. How much should each dose be?
Another optimist :)I wait with eager anticipation the “I killed all my fish” thread.
We are telling you the correct way to dose it since you clearly don’t know. But do you.

I am not looking for simple division help, but thank you nonetheless.I’d start with half that, but that’s just me.

No I am not. This questions divides into 2 potential answers:Sound's like that you are fishing for an answer you want to hear.
Good luck with that.

I can confidently say it's higher than 2.5, but don't have an accurate reading as ICP couldn't get one (just said very high), Hannah ULR is topping out at 200 (so over 1ppm), and high range Red Sea is what I am basic the reading on. I would like to lower it faster if possible, but at the end of the day if it has to be .05 per day I will have to settle with that. How high is phosphate?
I’d aim to bind 0.05 ppm per day for a while and track it. It will move slower than that.
HOw slow will your dosing pump go?No I am not. This questions divides into 2 potential answers:
1. Based on experience, i.e. this much dosed - no impact on animals, this much dosed - animals died.
2. Calculation - based on specific water volume skimmer pump is pushing, and reaction time of LC with water, Skimmer should be able to pull our so much precipitate, etc.
If no one knows, I will settle with that. But so far not a single response on point, only advice to do something else.
I agree with everything you mentioned, and I know sorting out phosphate source is still needed, and not something to be ignored. So many variables for a concrete answer I’d say - what’s in the system, what fish , how much water / rock / how old is rock ? Dry or live? What do you feed is it primarily phosphate based or not? Are all these variables equal 24/7? Not trying to be mean but the answer is it depends
It can only do doses, it's not a constant speed pump. I can hook up my more industrial pump which can go very slowly for constant dosing, but I first need to order more parts to make it work.HOw slow will your dosing pump go?
1 ml per minute is 20 drops, assuming a solution.
If i were to try this, i would drip at a rate of 1 drop every 5 or 6 seconds continuously of the diluted solution above.
My guess is a wag that the lc in 1 drop gets reacted in that time.
Slower is safer.
I dont think anyone can answer either 1 or 2 above.
Get the $15 bag linked above it can do it.It can only do doses, it's not a constant speed pump. I can hook up my more industrial pump which can go very slowly for constant dosing, but I first need to order more parts to make it work.
I tried both, no effect so far. I am running a constant flow GFO reactor, and an algae scrubber. Algae scrubber goes through weekly collection, full of nice green hair algae.I honestly think chemi pure blue and GFO is all that is needed and maaaybe a couple drops of LaCl - I would say you are thinking too much about the #s before having a biome in place (no coral) but you are probly super experienced so don’t let me deter lol
I might do thatGet the $15 bag linked above it can do it.
