I went with the Honda, because it has dual blades. I was looking at the huskavarna with the Honda motor, but between the Honda mower having dual blades and a 5 year warranty and a extra year with the deal they had going, I got the Honda

So with the extra year and the extended warranty I bought,it's covered for 9 years.

The reason I went with the dual blades, is we have a huge oak tree and chopping up leaves is a big task.

I cut the frt yard Sunday after I picked it up and the grass looks way better compared to what it used to look like after cutting with the old one.

I also bought stable to put in it for the non use months as the other gas isn't easy to find around here.

Need to buy a new lawn mower as mine just broke and its not worth fixing

I go on the lowes and Home Depot site and there are lots to choose from, so what should I avoid, and what is a must have?

My kids cut the grass but with these new mowers I might be willing to enjoy it

Electric start would be a bonus but not mandatory, Self Propelled is a must, I notice there is frt, rear and awd.

I have heard good things about Honda Engines, what about there actual Mowers? Then There is Kohler and briggs and stratton.

I would have gone to sears and shopped but they closed the ones around me

So what is the best bang for your buck for a Lawnmower ?
Honda mowers are amazing first pull start up and the drive will take off on ya I got one and love it to death the honda mowers are solid

I completely understand the time difference! I owned a Dixie Chopper.

What "old tractor" do you own?
Long story = short story = a number of years ago in a lifetime far, far away, I traded a 20" jointer I had for an old, rusty 1956 Allis Chalmers WD45 tractor with what was called "The Powercrater" engine. I restored it with a number of modifications like swapping out the narrow front end for a wide one, rebuilding the motor, making and adding all the hydraulics for a front end loader, coverting it to a 12 volt system, taking it down to the bare metal and then painting it, etc. It was a real labor of love. My original plan was to use it to slowly dig a decent sized pond but I never found the time and ended up including it with the sale of the little farm. Owning a little 40 acre hobby farm with about every farm animal, and then some, was a great experience for a guy from the south side of Chicago. Some great memories to be sure!

More 'cheap' than 'old', really :)

It's a 2003 Chinese import FarmPro. 3cyl Diesel, 25HP. It was cheap... got a good Koyker bucket on it. Only thing wrong with it is that it just can't handle running flat out for hours on end... you know, like you'd do when you were mowing a field ;)

Yea the battery operated stuff isnt a bad idea if you dont have a lot of land . Just get them all the same volt ones and then interchange batteries . I use green works, have pressure washer , weed whacker, chainsaw and pole saw

I have a brand new Honda with the plastic deck, it has a dial to adjust the speed, I think maybe I am doing something wrong with it, when I am done I turn the gas off and I let the mover run until it runs out of gas, the problem is that it takes over 4 pulls for it to start.
I would look at the toro's from a lawnmower shop or the internet not from the big box stores, and get the aluminum deck with the Honda motor. I think the personal pace is better than the Honda's version.

I recently replaced my reel mower with a new reel mower. I know it's not for everyone, but I've always been that eccentric green sheep! :)

For a zero turn riding mower, Scag and Gravely have been the best I've owned. Gravely dominates the commercial market here. My self propelled mower is a Toro with a Honda engine. I bought it a long time ago on sale and figured I would have replaced it a good while ago but it still starts first pull every time.

I bought a Ferris last year... 28HP Vanguard, Electronic fuel injection, 5 Qt Aluminum Oil Cooler, four wheel coil over shock suspension... One serious mowing machine.

Might be overkill for your needs, I don't know, but it sure works for me :)

Awesome, but only one cup holder?
