So I have 3 or 4 dark caves in my tank and was looking for decent options as I move forward. I believe I will not get them for a year as I want to fill out everything else first but how often do sun corals, nps gorgonians (those cultured purple ones), and tube anemone's need to be fed. The tank is mostly LPS and will continue to be mostly lps although there is a monti frag and there will be a few more sps and more flower anemones in there. Tank is undergoing vibrant right now and doing well and the duncan and candy cane seem to be consistantly working on new heads. So how often do those 3 nps organisms need to be fed could they do well on 3x or 4x a week or do they need daily? Thisnis for future reference as the they will be added at the end of this year as the tank hits the 2 year mark...

I feed mine once in the am pretty heavy. Think milky cloudy water after spot feeding with a turkey baster. I squirt some food around the corals to get them to open then 15 min later, feed. Then a lighter broadcast feeding in the evening.

Ok so 2x a day for you. How do sun corals fare with missing a day do you ever fast yours for like 3 days?

They did ok when I was out of town for a week. The person was feeding them every 3rd day. And only 1 time per day. Prob not ideal for long term health

They should be fed every day, ensuring each polyp gets food. Non photosynthetic corals take work, even the "easier" species can be challenging.

Ok because I heard 3-4 times a week and wanted tosee what proper feeding is.
