Leather coral being closed up.

Hi I purchased this long polyp toadstool leather coral about 3 weeks ago, the first 2 weeks it was open and looking good. The last week it has been closed and I noticed in the center of the stalk it looks to be pinching itself? Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Thank you.

Need water parameters, from the looks Im thinking you have a phosphate issue.
