Looks great! What combo of bars are you running? Also I see only 4 bars, what kind of par are you getting with only 4?
2x blue plus
1x day
1x custom blue plus where three 10ks were added.
Tank is a 40 gallon thats 20” deep. Lights are 8-12 (can’t remember exactly) inches above the waterline.

Going to bump this thread… anyone else with bars only system, especially since the OSix was released, as well as the AI Blade.

My tank is a 75 gallon 48”x18”, and am heavily considering switching to full OR3 120’s. The layout for 5 bars I’m considering is:

Blue plus
Violet reef day
Blue sky
Violet reef day
Blue plus

Any thoughts or advice? I don’t want anything heavily blue…

You can see my post above showing bars only. I still run bars only. No problems here. Won’t change them as I like the edge to edge lighting on that tank.

Yea man… I actually still had the message you sent me a while back. Im wondering how the blending would be on the 5 bar setup. Saw a short YouTube video that showed PAR and spread on the OR2’s. I don’t want to create front and back “zones” with a Blue Sky in the center, but I think I should be able to get good spread with the intensity adjustability and ability to raise the bars up…

The violet day is pretty white purple. You might move them to the ends and it could blend pretty well.

So lay them this way:

Violet reef day
Blue plus
Blue sky
Blue Plus
Violet Reef Day

I’ve emailed Orphek a couple times on this and they are fairly locked in on making sure there is a Blue Sky in the mix… how does the Reef Day Plus stack up with the Violet Reef Day? Wondering if I should swap those in instead of the Violet Reef Day and do:

Blue Plus
Reef Day Plus
Blue Sky
Reef Day Plus
Blue Plus
