So lay them this way:

Violet reef day
Blue plus
Blue sky
Blue Plus
Violet Reef Day

I’ve emailed Orphek a couple times on this and they are fairly locked in on making sure there is a Blue Sky in the mix… how does the Reef Day Plus stack up with the Violet Reef Day? Wondering if I should swap those in instead of the Violet Reef Day and do:

Blue Plus
Reef Day Plus
Blue Sky
Reef Day Plus
Blue Plus

the reef day isn’t as purple. I quite enjoy it but the 24 has odd led placement. The 48” layout is much better. If you want more purple then go for violet day. The white mix is great. The purple hue doesn’t show in photos though.

I don’t have a sky so not sure how that would mix in.

Now you’ve got me thinking about doing 3 Blue Plus and 2 Reef Day Plus.

Can't speak for spectrum when all ramped up and blending / ordering of the lights until I actually receive them, but I am quite interested to see how this combo of 6 do together.

Would love to hear how best to order the above to achieve best blend for anyone running OR3s. Thank you!

Those pics look like some post processing is going on. But if I were to do an all bar setup, it wouldn’t be with Orphek, I would use all Quanta.

Nope. I’m still just using the two Orphek OR2 bars.One day I’ll add another bar or 2 to get better distribution.

I just Did search “this thread” and typed in “bar” and it gave the posts where he mentioned the original two, a third, one dying, and the replacement

Just buy Quanta bars and enjoy the tank, mine have been going strong for a couple years without issue.
