Both showing UV absorbtion, anyone know if this is true UV or if it affects 395+nm? Thinking about grabbing a sheet for my 2 diy fixtures.
Most acrylics cut off around 400nm.
"Exact" cutoff and loss %'s are sort of err flexible.
Colorless ACRYLITE® cast and premium sheet have very small amounts of light transmission below 345 nm. In the range from 345 to 395 nm, the light transmission varies with sheet thickness. Between 395 and 1000 nm, all thicknesses transmit 92%. Smooth, colorless ACRYLITE® cast and premium sheet are warranted for thirty (30) years to not undergo a change in light transmission exceeding 3%.
Doe this make sense (see text). Seems backwards.

ACRYLITE® UV filtering (OP3)

Acrylic sheet is a continuously manufactured sheet product that absorbs approximately 98% of the incident UV light. It is used in picture frames and shadow boxes to protect photos, posters, and other valuables from damaging ultraviolet rays.

I'd contact the manuf for "real" specs..

After checking some of the products mentioned, I found this one. To me, based on the description, should be a good candidate.

A dense diffuser that creates an even field of soft, shadowless light. Excellent for combining multiple lighting fixtures into a single, large area source. Tough, heat resistant base.
Rosco Cinegel Tough Rolux 3000

FWIW...

I ordered two types diffusion material from Rosco and decided to use their 'Cinegal 1/2 Density Soft Frost' (#3004) since it is less dense than the Cinegal Tough White 1/2 Density Soft' (#3027) and allows through about 1/2 of the shimmer compared to using no diffuser (important to me as I'm not a big fan of the flat T5 look). I mounted this material on top of a 1/32" sheet of clear polycarbonate and measured ~15% reduction in PAR.

The diffusion effect at a low setting (not as pronounced as many diffusion materials, which is exactly what I was looking for):

Although I had quite even light spread with good color mixing without the diffuser, it was still helpful adding it to further enhance blending of the various wavelengths.
