LED DIRECTION?

Not sure whats in the PDF since it wont load.

Do you mean longitudunally vs perpendicularly? Probably longitudinally since your tank isn't all that wide.

Mathematically speaking, the lights will cover a 32x32 space at 16" mounting height....a little lower is usually more optimal, maybe 14-15". Depending on the model you're talking about there should be more than enough power.

Which one? 30 or 15?
Best to ask than assume
3.5" x 10" or 3.5" x 6". Rough dimensions of light emitting panel.

@ 126.3 degrees
Being that wide height is a bit more critical.
How are you going to mount them?
Hanging or using one of the radion options?

My custom 210 is almost identical to yours in specs 72”x30”x20” and I went with 4 xr30 g5 mounted in your A style and 2 6 ft reef Brite xho mounted on each side, 4 total as well.

If the 30’s run them as B. But might want to get one more light. Have three on my 60x24 tank. And on a 73” I would do 4. My buddy is running 5 on his 72” tank.

I would go with A. That way you won't waste light on front and back glass. And you would have higher intensity where the streams of light overlap, for some demanding Acroporas.

Ok....correcting ot my earlier post (thanks to Oreo's post for the clue!!).

Your G2's had 80º lenses, and my height calculation was based on that.

Apparently Ecotech let go of that ideal and the new lights are lensed more like Kessils, apparently using 120+ degree lenses. (Google says 126.3º.....LOLOL)

Your Option A should be very serviceable at a mounting height a bit under 9" off the water. Each light will give about 32" x 32" of coverage at that height. Two lights could cover 64" of tank length....three could cover 96". Of course you'll want to overlap that coverage so that light intensity is even between the lights – and you have plenty of coverage to do just that. 👍

Let’s not forget the subject of scape. Scape will make you change how many lights you need. And the type of creatures you will put in the tank. Coral wise.
