Your G2's had 80º lenses, and my height calculation was based on that.
Apparently Ecotech let go of that ideal and the new lights are lensed more like Kessils, apparently using 120+ degree lenses. (Google says 126.3º.....LOLOL)
Your Option A should be very serviceable at a mounting height a bit under 9" off the water. Each light will give about 32" x 32" of coverage at that height. Two lights could cover 64" of tank length....three could cover 96". Of course you'll want to overlap that coverage so that light intensity is even between the lights – and you have plenty of coverage to do just that.![]()
