I currently own the JBJ 28 gallon 89 watt professional led setup and was curious if any one with DIY led experience would know what dimable driver i needed to use since the stock one is non dimable?
link to my current setup http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-s...T-601-LED.html

this is a great setup but bleaches my corals and i need to be able to dim the lighting.

Not sure what it has now but the mean well 60-48d is a great dimmable driver... I think you would need 2 of them to run that thou... Do t quote me but it's a good start lol... I have built a few dimmable lights but never took a factory one and made it dimmable... There is a good chance it's not even possible  hth..

You need to know how many circuits you want. Say blues on one and whites on the other. Then figure out how many of each you have say 20 blues and 10 whites. Then you need to know the forward voltage and watts of the leds themselves. Say you have 20 RB Cree XP's at 3w is 60 watts. So the driver needs to be able to handle 60 watts and whatever the forward voltage is. If 2.0 volts per LED then 40 volts. Keep in mind I'm just using numbers here. You also need to know how the LEDs are wired whether parralelle or in series. You can dim any LED. The LED is not what governs if it is dimmable but rather controlling the current. Look at the DIY LED threads and just compare to what you have already in place.
