Hello all, I am new to the hobby and very new to the site (first post).
My question is about my lighting system. I am wondering is this is good or not so much.
I am a Current-USA ORBIT Marine LED with the specs of 445nm / 460nm blue 8,000k to 12,000k.
My tank is a 36 bow front.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this LED on 18" high tank. I put Acan and Scoly on middle part of the tank. Monti Cap on almost at the top then Softies lower/middle- 60% White and 90% Blues and doing well.

Would like to upgrade to the Pro version.

The current is a good starter LED, I had one on my 72 for a year. It also depends on the type of system that you are building. I would look at your budget, if you have a budget that you can go high then do it. I upgraded to the AI Hydra 26hd and could not be happier, my co als are happy, my fish are happy.

Dispar Anthias 1
Blue Hippo Tang 1

Coral:

The lighting is only 23w. Is that too low?

I love the color rendition of that orbit. I still have one I bought for my tank, but I don't use it any more. Not enough punch. :(

welcome!!
if you're a newbie that light is a great beginner light, eventually you are going to learn more about light fixtures and go with a different one once you develop your knowledge in the hobby, good luck!.
