I just recently upgraded to a 90gallon (from a 6 gallon) and the tank came with some LED strip lights that are pretty subpar. However, with the new location of where my tank is, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to hang my (2) 165w led boxes.
My question is this...
A. Stick with the subpar strips until I can figure out how to hang my good lights.
or
B. Buy some eggcrate and set my two good lights on the eggcrate and have them be only 1-2" from water surface? (I typically have them about 14-16" from water surface"
Thoughts??? Thanks in advanced!!!

What's holding you up from hanging them? If you're putting them into a canopy, check out my build thread HERE, post #33, and see how I hung mine.

Ive found that bendable metal conduit (the type found at Home Depot) works great for making a quick light mount. The conduit can be mounted to the stand. Currently I have two 300 watt evo leds hanging over mine.

Plant hooks in the ceiling, bookshelf brackets on the wall...lotsa ways....what's making it tough for you to figure out how to hang them? That might help narrow it down to the best ways! :)
