FOODS AND FEEDING– The Lemond Butterflyfish consumes marine fish, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp, and frozen preparations. Shouldbe fed a minimum of 2 times per day.
REEF COMPATIBILITY – With caution. Thiss pecies will occasionally pick at large polyped stony corals in captivity. However, it is a zooplankton feeder in the wild.
CAPTIVE CARE – The Lemond Butterflyfish is easy to keep in home aquaria, and will eat most foods that it is offered. This species needs plenty of swimming room and nonaggressive tank mates. It can be kept singly, in pairs, or in small groups as long as all specimens are introduced at the same time. Coloration will fade from bright yellow to a dull coloration in captivity, although vitamin enriched or color enhancing foods may help retain the coloration found in the wild.
