For most hermits, shrimps and snails I would say the life expectancy is 3-5 years. Then there are large brittle stars.
I think I had my Ophiocoma brittle star for around +8 years when it died from old age.
...

And then there is the legendary money cowrie (cypraea moneta).

I have no idea what the life expectancy of these snails is but I would guess it's way over 15 years. My old group died during the crash of my 10g tank when I've had them already for over 10 years.
The group in my current tank is also already 6-8 years old.
They are one of the most durable, long lived ivert that's available for our reef tanks and I'm surprised they aren't more popular. Just feed a bit nori once in a while and they will survive every other invert in your tank.
