Lighting question

I am thinking about doing T5 only on another tank. I have three tanks now running LED but was thinking about really comparing LED setup to a T5. I was going to purchase all the same equipment except for the lights.

The new tank I am looking at is 72x18x18 it would have a canopy so I was thinking:

I only have 15.5 to 16” clearance inside the canopy. The back is open.

Is this to much light?

I thought you could not place that under a canopy that why I stayed away from it?

Hm does look like it prefers to not be in a canopy.
