Hi

I have a single Nem in a 40g. I am looking for a lighting schedule that will help him grow plus not create the green algae that my last schedule did. I am using a Kessel AP700 about 12in above the tank. He seems to like a darker blue not intense. I have tried a few ideas but all have lead to out breaks.

Thanks

Tank dimensions and what intensity do you normally run at? Thats a beefy light.

Algae break outs are a combination of a lot light and nutrients.

You can control it by managing your nitrates and phosphates for the most part. But you need CUCs in the tank to really keep it clean.

you should be running at 50% power or less peak with that powerful of a light on that size tank. You also don't need more than 10 hours of lights on per day. Keep the red and green color down to discourage algae growth. Bubbletip anemones really don't need much PAR at all, turn the power down and reduce the photoperiod.
