Live rock and Bayer???

Has anyone ever dipped newly aquired live rock (history unknown, pests unknown) in Bayer Advanced? Or....does any see or know any reason why you wouldn't want to do this?

It will basically nuke your live rock. You will have no pods or stars or anything else. It shouldn't hurt algae or bacteria. Its completely up to you but I personally like diversity in my rock and Bayer will kill diversity.

Agreed.

You may need to soak it for a long time to get residual Bayer out also.
