I did not cast the acrylic. hahahaha
What I did do was have the plastic supplier cut the 2 sheets required of 3/8" cast acrylic. I did one or 2 cuts myself of the smaller pieces.
I routed all the edges as needed. I can cut and route 3/8 in my garage shop. When it came to the tank, I had the supplier cut and route all the 1" stuff as im not equipped for that.
Since I was building my own tank to go with the sump, I needed to learn to use SciGrip #40 which is 2 part . I could not get a bubble free seam on 1" thick with #4.
I built the sump with #40 which was a learning curve. Had to figure out how much to mix. How much to thin if any. How fast to apply it and with what size syringe and needle. Plus how much it would shrink when drying .
Attached are my cut sheets. It took 2 full sheets and they did the cuts for free since I was buying full sheets. I did shop around to see who would cut it for less. As you can see by the cut sheets I made it as few cuts for them as possible. I can explain details more if you are really interested.
