Hi! So I just bought a UNS 90 LA (21g) and have it currently set up as a FOWLR. Corals to come tho. I’ll post a video in a new tank thread. I have loads of freshwater experience, but I am new to saltwater, so I am learning as I go. I cycled my tank with two clownfish and a bunch of previously owned live rock that I got from my LFS. I’m really looking forward to all of the advice and guidance that you guys and gals have from years of experience!

Hi! So far, it seems like I am one of the fewer female saltwater hobbyists. I don’t call myself a reefer just yet, as I only have a FOWLR tank so far. I just bought a UNS 90 LA and I love it. Welcome to Reef2Reef! Can't wait to check out your tank thread!

Welcome to R2R! You will find, myself included that there are quite a few female reefers here! Congrats on making the jump to saltwater! You will find most folks here are very friendly, and willing to help. There is a lot to learn, so don't let yourself get overwhelmed. Do you plan to keep corals? If so which types? Soft? LPS? SPS? a lot of what is needed will depend on the corals you want to keep. Good luck, and can't wait to see your tank!

All, eventually! But I’ll start with some easier/hardier ones, which a few people have suggested names of and I’m looking into. Do you have any fave beginner corals or what was your first? I understand soft to be the easiest to keep? Silly Q :P But do you just start with 2-3 diff types and see how it goes?

I really like my toadstool! It grew from something the size of my thumb to the size of an open hand in like 6 months! Very pretty, and fun to watch as it grows. My first coral was a few zoa's. Then my toadstool and a mushroom. My first LPS was a torch. My first SPS was a PC rainbow acropora! They are beautiful. I have only been doing corals for just under 2 years now. I personally like it all. My bubble tip anemones are awesome! But be careful cuz they are can be very prolific. I went from one to like 17.
