We just got an update: He has E.Coli.

So now that we know, we need prayers for a successful treatment, and that he will bounce back strong. They aren’t sure if antibiotics would harm or help. And they aren’t sure exactly how he contracted it.

Morning guys. Sorry for the absence once more.

My grandson was born Monday at about 7:20. Daughter is fine, baby Titus did very well the first night. However he has started to have some apnea and they aren’t sure why.

His blood work is completely normal, his heart is good and strong. He was born crying which the doctors said was very strange. Yesterday they did an echo on his little heart and it’s perfect and strong. Today he is going to get an MRI. Mama is exhausted between worrying and pumping and not able to really stay with him.

Please pray for healing. While I’m grateful he will ride the storm out in a place with generators, I worry about him. He’s such a sweet little guy, very little fuss. Send all well wishes and happiness and healing to my daughter, her husband and little Titus please. They have absolutely no idea why he’s stopping breathing like this.

Little Titus, we got to see him the day after he was born :)

What she said the other day, and his fat chicky leggy
Congrats!

All the best for little Titus and overcoming E.coli.

Afternoon!

So a late update on Titus. Despite the E. coli, the docs were confident that was not the apnea issue. They decided to try and give him some caffeine even though he isn’t a premie. That seems to have worked :) he’s been home almost a week now and he is growing pretty nicely.

We had some snow which made everything cold since our heat is just space heaters. It also has my power bill really high :(

The heater in the pallifina tank failed on me but I think everyone is ok? I’ll have to check when my pain levels aren’t so high. I was so worried I’d lost them all. I have seen Bloo and his lady so at least there’s them. He did swallow though. There’s always next time.

Reef is ok. The flaming brocolli macro has gotten quite large. I may frag it a little to get some money up. I need to get some more salt to prep for a water change.

Will snap some pics when I clear some space lol.

Afternoon everyone!

I’ve been sick and in lots of pain so sadly I’ve not been on.

Titus seems to be doing well now. He’s 5 weeks old and weighs a little over ten lbs lol. He and mom are both good, little Russy is doing great as a big brother. He’s fishing a lot with his daddy, his birthday is coming up and he will be a whole hand old.

Reef tank seems to be going ok. I’ve still got the Dino’s but it seems to be a lot less. Mostly on the atomic broccoli and the outflow of the UV sterilizer lol. My BTA split so now I have six. Sideshow Bob and Selma are well.

I did move Nameless to the ten gallon, since the bedroom is so chilly. But everyone seems to be just fine.

I’ll probably see about selling some of that macro, since I need a few things. I need more salt, as well as some more pods and phyto.

Plus we have to figure out a hot water heater that’s not expensive. Seems ours has been leaking for quite some time (it sits under the trailer, floor above is rotting out and I have some mold growing on the wall and my clothes have stayed quite damp.)

My art is slow going as well. I’ve decided basically to just redraw the piece on a different canvas lol.

Anyways, pics.

Oh, one of the pics is Titus’ length and head circumference from Tuesday lol. He’s a big un.

So sorry for my absence. We have had a lot going on here, but things are starting to get kind of normal so I’ll try and stay more active.

The reef is ok, still Dino’s. However the fish are fine, the bubble tips are growing, and it seems Sideshow Bob and Selma are starting to enjoy them now. The macro algae has exploded. I was able to trade in some for some salt from the shop.

All the bettas are doing well. I had a chance for some antuta, so I rushed for a tank, and set it up. However before the person was able to bring them, they jumped. He found them both out of the bucket. Brought them anyhow as they were still alive. Sadly within two days they succumbed to the fiasco and I lost both :(

For now I’m just going to use this tank that I wasn’t actually wanting (lol) to grow some of the pallifina out and rehome those.

I had to redo the whole art room to put it somewhere but at least the orphek light they sent (the 36” one) has a use over a real tank now haha

I managed to redo my studio today. I’m sore and tired. But I feel I can get more work done this way.

Really wish I would have been able to get something nicer to sit under that light :(

Ah well. Will fill tomorrow and net some fish. Hopefully they like it.

Thanks :) I hope it can help me not procrastinate lol. I’m very bad about sitting down to do something and get distracted and doing something else to make it “easier” to get done. Oof.
