I have a friend wanting to send me some antuta, but I’ve got to come up with about $120 to get them here (transhipping and shipping) so I’m trying to figure out quick paintings. I am debating on these few:

They should all be quite simple and quick to turn around. Of course the YWG would be in color. I just have to convert it back lol.

Filled the 20 long and moved (most of) the juvie pallifina.

I’m giggling at how absolutely chonky they are. My plan was to “feed em up to get some growth” but uh…. Yeah. They’re fed well lol.

The last two photos, I’m betting the one on the left is a female going by her face markings. The ladies usually have that lovely dark mask. So cute.

But speaking of food, I was wondering what is a good dried food for the clowns. They aren’t skinny by any means, and there’s a great deal of pods thriving in here. I know the dottyback is an absolute pig for them because her belly looks like the pallifina, constantly. I feed a cube of brine shrimp daily too. Lfs doesn’t offer much in frozen, just the mysis and brine (I’ll grab the mysis when they have it) but I feel that they could use something else.

Maybe I’m just paranoid thinking they need more variety.

Late to the party, but #1 or #5
I do love the pallifina one. I think I’d take the cocohut out and go for just a solid black background with them.

Wanted to do a waterchange today but a thunderstorm came through. Tomorrow though is another day. So I’ll do it then.

I think it looks ok considering I have no sense of scaping or coral placement, (or coral in general lol) and dinos.

Thank you! I think dad would be proud.

And I couldn’t have done any of this without the help from this community.

I managed to redo my studio today. I’m sore and tired. But I feel I can get more work done this way.

Really wish I would have been able to get something nicer to sit under that light :(

Ah well. Will fill tomorrow and net some fish. Hopefully they like it.

Ty!

Did a waterchange today. It’s an all day thing, I believe I’ve mentioned before. Anyhow, it looks a bit better. Pulled some of the calurpa, and some hair algae. Stabbed the aiptaisia(probably not a smart idea but nothing else worked so it irritated me lol.

I’ve discovered I have a lot of rock flowers. They’re everywhere!

The Kenya tree I got from someone as part of a trade for the atomic broccoli seems happy. The pulsing Xenia has vanished. Shame, I was hoping it would thrive :/

Also I haven’t seen my dottyback. I’ll have to research their lifespans. I’ve had her quite awhile. She was rather plump so I know she’s eating well. The pods are thriving and it gives the clowns something to hunt too. There’s no way I could find a body if she passed. That would leave me two fish in this entire tank. I need more fish….

Maybe if I can sell some art I’ll get something. Iunno.

Anywho, pics!

Son in law snagged some macros while fishing off the pier from Myrtle beach this weekend. I love how he thinks of me lol.

There was a very large clump of Deadman’s Fingers, and some Sargassum, as well as several other types of these two I’m very curious about:
IMG_6457.jpeg

This is very soft, small and flows with the current. Lovely color.
IMG_6458.jpeg

This is quite stiff. I just shoved it into the substrate.

Tomorrow if I have time I’ll snap more photos of what was brought. I had just mixed three gallons of new saltwater in my ten gallon on the porch and stuffed it all in there.

Anywho, hopefully this stuff will do fine.

I also need to find out how to remove BTas and rock flowers from tock easily without being eaten by Sideshow Bob. He’s such a menace.

Oh! And I thought my dottyback was a goner as I haven’t seen her but…
IMG_6464.jpeg

You can see her fat self. She’s been lowering the pod population in check I guess lol.

My future son-in-law is going to think of me too! It'll probably be something like "Man, I hope he's not home when I get there..."

Nowhere near what I normally listen to but gave the song a listen. As suspected, I did like the lyrics which I why I gave it the "money" reaction. I will say, however, I will probably never hear the song again.
