Salt tank likely to get away on you quicker especially with algae issues.
Reduce white light intensity a little and assure your ammonia-nitrate and phosphate are at acceptable levels
quite a few return pumps on the marketplace at different price levels.
For freshwater- do a good size water change and add aquarium salt (not sea salt) or even Epsom salt at 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons. Walmart sells aquarium salt- around $1
Assure water temp is under 80 degrees and again monitor the ammonia level in this tank

My only issue with the fresh is it may literally collapse lol. The levels are fine, it’s been perfectly balanced for several years. My aquarium seals and stand are failing.

It seems when I turn my whites down the nem pouts a little. Think his moody butt will be ok with it? Like I said, it’s not the brightest lights on the market.

I would locate a handyman on craigslist or local listing to reinforce the stand. ... which in turn can properly support tank. You can seal the outside with aquarium sealant such as Aqueon sealant and place wood corner trim which is paintable to match stand for a finished look which hides sealant

The water level has dropped but only a little. The tank is fully covered with a glass canopy so evap is not the cause. I’ll have to use a flashlight and see if I can see under the tank. I know that in a couple spots it looks like a piece of paper will go under.

Ok so paranoia got me. The fresh is only 29 gallons. However the bubbles had water in them and were all over. pallis are in the pond/ a ten gallon outside for the time being. The stand, it’s really hard to get a picture of because so dark. However where the vertical wood meets the bottom, the bottom is swollen around it. The damage you see is from the door when it swelled too much I couldn’t open without it rubbing some of the bottom off.

Here’s pics of the bottom of the silicon :/ two along the back and one along the front.

Well, tank hunting is on hold for a bit. Actually everything is. We were working on the floor, and me being the genius I am, stepped back and onto the pry bar. Ouch! Bruised one foot, nice gash in the other. Blood everywhere. My poor rug :( sigh. Cleaned, gauze and tape. And propped up.

I need some hot chocolate.

Updated shots today.

My BTA is very mad. He’s closed up. I don’t know my water parameters so I can’t do anything to help. I’m due a waterchange come Saturday. Hopefully he will perk up. I’m not sure what made him mad initially. Maybe me feeding him stuff soaked in the A+B? When I started to add that to the tank he started to get upset. Also when the Goni was added. And the dottybacks whom I’ve seen close to him before he retreated some. Who knows. I do know to leave him alone. His color is kinda dark from what I can see but he’s still very firmly attached in his spot. So I won’t touch him.

My bettas are outside, and I placed a heater with them since the tens are cooling off. They are mad. There’s no telling how long it’ll be before I can find a replacement setup. I have to be picky because it’s got to be something that’ll last. Also I need it to be wider than the previous 30, and want to go a little larger, for the sake of the fish.

FTS of my reef, and what’s left of the Serene build.

as a side note, dad would be very happy with the palythoa growth. They are spreading nicely along the rock.

Yes- don’t feed a&b directly but rather into the path of flow from a power head.

I hope he will recover from my stupidity lol. What I can see of him, his mouth still looks good and closed, though he’s in a peculiar spot so seeing him is difficult. Still stuck nicely. Can’t see any tentacles but I’m sure it’s because he’s very very mad.

So his mouth is now open a little. But I don’t see anything coming from it. I dunno, I hope he pulls through. He’s stuck well as you can see. Just seems angry

Continue to allow it to take its course. The fact that its opening and hasn’t deteriorated indicates it’s in the right direction
