Luke33's 195g LeeMar Starfire Build

Well, its finally started. I got my 195g leemar starfire tank. I also got my PM 48x20x18" sump, and ofcourse my skimmer will be the SWC300 Cone as its a monster. My system will consist of the tank, sump and 24x24x9" frag tank. My next step is getting a stand, then a light holder for 4 of my LED's. Couple pics to start.

The skimmer is huge! My pup next to it is 90lbs....... ; )

thats a sweet looking tank and sump,what are the tanks dimensions?also im a little confused on the sumps flow.i see the water enters throught the filter socks,then past the skimmer,then drowns the dog,goes over the slotted wall,but does it go under the last wall with holes in it?i cant tell but is the baffle wall on the far right not touch the bottom of the sump?

cmcneil, yep, the last baffle is an inch above the bottom. I was confused when i got it as well : ()

I have been waiting for this build thread. 4 wow, and I was actually thinking 3 was going to be enough for mine. I will have too see how 4 looks on that monster. Cant wait to see that monster of a skimmer in action.

A good reason I might add. Now what I want to know is what are the powerheads going to be? Vortech or Tunze? I just love both, and change out about every 6 months or so....

I am going to use the sicce voyagers, the 2800gph one's. My reasoning......the sicce's are super quiet, good flow, and you can put them on the back of the tank and they stay small. Vortec's are to noisy for my taste and the tunze's are nothing special anymore to me. The sicce's also have a 3yr warranty.

Oh yeah, I forgot you had those. I meant to order one too. I forget everything. How many? Also you didnt mention a controller, or are you going to keep it simple.

Love the pup! I don't mind critters like that in my sump. Looks vicious, might be a new form of exporting nutrients, she can growl at them and they'll just jump out of the sump.

I believe they are 72 X 25 X 25

Thanks Paul, and Demonic is correct.
Tank is 72x25x25" with front and two sides starfire glass.
Sump is 48x20x18" and made out of 1/2" cast acrylic. Precision Marine built it and did a great job.
