M&M's 120 gal.reef

Can we get a better shot of how you mounted your new LED fixtures?

I am debating going with the same lights or a DIY using 4 ft U channel inside a light weight canopy. Replacing a 8 bulb TEK and the $160 bulb replacement every six months.

I have one Reef Filtration LED on my frag tank, which is similar to the Apollo and like the results so far.

I have them over my tank for little more than two months now.

Here it is ,for now this is temporary look.I will lower this canopy a bit and paint it black,it will look better then.

I would say growth is about the same as with my previous T5 fixture.I liked my last bulb combo a lot, unfortunately with LED I can't get the same look. But I am very happy so far and I don't think I will go back to T5's.I really like the shimmer effect,no heat transfer to water. My water evaporation went down from about 2 gal. a day to less then half of gallon a day.

Looks great bro!

Awesome tank! I almost have the same tank but All Glass. How I can "anti-sync" my two MP-40's?

Thank you,I don't remember off top off my head how to anti-sinc MP 40,best go to ecotech website and they have manual for download how to program your vortech pumps.

Had some time yesterday ,so here is a new video of my tank with new LED's.Make sure to watch it in HD.

Mark, your tank is stunning. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice tank:) What are the optics on your LED's? I have a 52x28x24 tank and I've been on the fence about replacing my 2 250w MH for LED's and I don't know if 2 LED units would cover it.

There are no optics on my units, here you can get more info:About Our Lights | Apollo Reef LED.I have two units over my tank and absolutely no dark spots.I think you can get away with two of those on your tank, just hang them little higher. They are very bright and PAR numbers are excellent.

My newest additions; purple and red micromussa
