I’m redoing the baffles in my refugium, but I don’t want to drain and dry the whole thing to silicone in the new baffles. It’s kind of the heart of my whole system. I’m wondering if there are any products out there that use a magnet on the can simply hold the baffles in place, also so I can take them out with ease if they need to be unclogged of algae that builds up in the holes.

For example, picture the paperclip on here as the part that is holding the baffle, but with a magnet on the outside of it attached to the sump wall. There would be 2 of them on each side of the baffle, and instead of clipping in the baffle would simply sit in there unattached. Since this entire sump is a refugium, it only needs to be tight enough to stop the different macroalgaes from running into each other.

Is there anything like that out there? Even if it’s not something specifically made for reefing I feel like there’s gotta be a simple design available like that. This here is the right idea but I don’t wanna put unknown metal in my system like that.
