hey all. I have a mandarin I bought at least 2 months ago, seems to be ok, i put pods in every few weeks just because. problem is i nearly never see the mandarin! i have to go look for it! I have 2 clowns and an azure damsel, a pair of skunk cleaners, the rest is rock or coral (all softies) so why would the mandarin hide all the time. I thought they run around all the time looking for food? I love the way they look, they are beautiful but what good is that if he/she does not come out for us to enjoy said beauty?

My blue Mandy was very shy and would move around among the rocks or behind the rocks a lot. My bet is that’s also where pods like to hang out.

TBH dosing bottle pods every few weeks it probably not worth it. Negligible effect in most tanks.

Anyways, the pods are probably most dense in certain areas and so that's where the fish hunts. Pods don't tend to cluster in the open like they do in crevices and macroalgae.
