Margaritas - Yes or No? (Snails, not drinks LOL)

I got a margarita snail the other day. I did some research afterwords and was reading that they die from warm waters.

So I did more research and this person says he's had them for years and that person says they painfully die, then the other guy says that the can live between 74-78 but die above 80.

So it is back and forth and back and forth!!!

Are they just for sale because they clean like demons? But they are sacrificed to get rid of some algae?

Or are there different strains like reefcleaners.com did with the dwarf nerites to live in warmer waters.

Or is it that one is tougher than the other?

How is it that they can live for months in warm water but supposedly drop dead from the water after being healthy for so long. Or is their mysterious death being blamed on the temp.?

I hope this thread can clear things up because i am confused.

I have purchased 50 over a year ago and only lost 2 to hermits. Great snail, can't turn over in fine sand, but will right themselves in most substrate. Mine are kept at 78 degrees. Nerites are my second choice
