Hi, first post for me.

I have a marine betta that is just beautiful and in perfect shape, until now.

His tail has a changed on the edge and it may be injury, or being nipped at.

I am most concerned about missing a diagnosis if this is the start of something.

It's been 2 days, second day does show as slightly bigger.

No other fish are presenting issues. He/she does not seem affected.

He is in tank with all estabished fish much smaller then him. Clown pair, file fish, lawnmower blenny, 3 damses.

He was added 28 days ago.

Could this be the start of tail rot or something? Attaching pic

This is a result of tail nipping and my primary suspects are clowns or filefish. Clowns will behave their best in your presence but next time you feed, set your cell phone on video mode for about 30 mins and drop a little food and walk away - YOU MUST walk away as they know youre there. Often the aggressor is a bully at feeding time.
Review the video and see who it may be
