Yes PH is above 7.8 , ammonia even right after wc is still around 1ppm but I’m using seachem prime.

Mimic comes out more today but goes back to pvc pipe. And all I can see is his tail so can’t get to take good pic or have a good look at him.

Hippo tang and eibli tang I don’t see any more white spots or dust on body but I see them zooming around tank appears to be scratching or flashing on the heater. They prob had ich in addition to velvet?

Oh - 1 ppm ammonia measured with what test kit? Run a search here on Prime and ammonia control. People have had issues with it not really helping. I use Amquel myself.

Scratching/flashing are more of a sign of flukes than ich.

For ammonia I only have test strips and API test kit.

If flukes in addition to treating ich/velvet.. Can I dose prazi along with copper already in hospital tank or need to be after I’m done with copper treatment ?

That's always a risk running both, but sometimes you just need to try it. I would avoid running copper and prazipro though:

So the mimic tang that has been hiding and not eating I finally pulled him out and put into individual 5gal copper quarantine. Since it’s a lemon peel mimic I didn’t noticed until now he has tiny white spots all over his body . So now that he’s isolated I can keep a closer eye on him. He has been in copper for over 10 days in the 40 gal breeder with 9 other fish, can the spots stay on body that long from when he was in the 200 gal or you think these are new infections? I have been monitoring the 40gal hospital tank he was in and copper is at 2.35ppm range.

Separately, hippo tang that has been recovering, she is upright near 100% of time but she just stays in same corner all day. Doesn’t really eat or swim around . Is this a concern? Is she bored or still sick?

Thanks for the feedback. For these 5 gallon copper tanks I have been doing 100% water change and TTM every 24-36 hours and then empty and sterilize that tank for next day use. There shouldn’t be ammonia. But the remaining fish in the 40 gal breeder I do have ammonia on API test there so I plan to do at least 50% water change today.

Mimic tang I just fed nori and some mysis and I did see him eat so that is a big relief. Hippo tang is a concern. As you mentioned I will provide pvc hiding for her see if things improve.

I can’t really see clearly, but many times, a food or an indent is caused by a pinched belly from not eating.

The feces that you described is normal, but with a fish that hasn’t been eating, they are usually white / clear mucus.

Can you see if you know what is this raised bump on my foxface? It’s same color as skin to right of the black one spot. Foxface also in copper quarantine for past 18 days had not been eating , Is this sign of flukes?

No - flukes don't cause raised bumps like that. Internal disease issues cause that, but I'm not sure what they might be, and then, just a couple of bumps shouldn't cause a fish not to eat, no matter the cause. Something else must be going on here....has it not eaten at all for you, or did it eat and first and then stop? 18 days without food is very serious....

Yes I agree 18 days without food is very serious . This foxface and my hippo tang I’ve been treating with copper. I drop frozen mysis food in the tank I’m hoping they eat something that is floating in water column. I also have nori clip but I don’t see it being eaten . Then I also started hatching live baby brine shrimp this week and I dump in their tank hoping they can eat that. But they don’t go after the food when I drop in which is very concerning. I really don’t know what else to do? Any other suggestions ?

Sorry - no, I don't know what to tell you here. If the water chemistry checks out o.k, (and other fish in the tank are eating) then it is something specific to this fish. If none of the fish are eating well, then you should look at the water quality - no ammonia, right?

Yes their tank mates are eating. No ammonia. I also feel it’s something specific to fish , this all started when I had the velvet/ich outbreak. and I’m not sure what else I can do to help save them.

I used humble fish formula for 150ppm 20ml of 3% peroxide per gallon of saltwater for 30 min. Any sign of distress pull fish out.
Large Leopard wrasse was only wrasse I dipped within seconds it was laying on its side not moving so pulled him out right away. since no other wrasse was acting weird and also after seeing the leopards reaction to h2o2 I was afraid to do baths for others.

Hope your fish are recovering! I've followed the same H2O2 bath protocol for a number of wrasses (black leopard, carpenters, mccoskers, pintail fairy, whitebelly, threadfin fairy). They were all more dramatic about the bath than my other fish, but all survived and resumed normal behavior within 20 mins after the bath. FWIW, the humblefish hybrid tank transfer method involves 2 H2O2 baths spaced 7 days apart.

Humblefish has a table of species and success rates tolerating the H2O2 bath. If that list doesn't throw any red flags for your fish, and they doen't have issues like open sores, I wouldn't hesitate to do a bath.

Thanks, yes almost all the fish that I treated with copper have fully recovered except for this leopard wrasse. I did lose 2 out of 15 fish with this crazy outbreak first being the white tail bristle tooth. Then my baby clownfish died while in copper treatment few days later. I’m beginning to wonder if I misdiagnosed his symptoms maybe he was not infected with velvet, he had white slime ish looking all over his body so maybe that was brooklynella?

This leopard wrasse is only one left I feel is still in critical condition. I don’t see him eating but I am doing the live baby brine shrimp and dropping into quarantine tank medicated with prazipro for him. Hope he eats when I’m not looking.

Quick update on the foxface bump on body. Once I took him out of copper and treat him in prazi pro within 5 days the sump subsided and he is back to normal self eating everything I feed him
