Took some top-down shots during a water change this weekend.

    Mille worlds colliding

A new Mille I acquired. Started off as blue, changing more purple in my tank

Visited Unique Corals while I was in LA last week and picked up some jewels. I've had them in QT for a week now and I noticed today that my Pink Floyd was dying from the bottom up. No clue why, so I dipped him and his friends and put them in the DT, which has much better water quality and movement.

Pink Floyd with most of the dying base covered in glue. In the picture it looks like I didn't get the top line, but I'll keep an eye on it and reglue if it looks worse.

Hard to tell since the lights were turning off, but diagonally from the Pink Floyd to the back right is 1. Pink Floyd 2. UC Blue Ogor 3. UC Teal Tort and 4. Ultimate Blue Stag 5. To the right of the Pink Floyd is the UC Bali Shortcake

So far it's alive this morning, good sign as usually when a coral is systemically dying it'll be toast by now. I'm guessing the water quality in the QT wasn't good enough for it, so moving it to the DT was the best move to make.

Tore out two of my larger colonies from my tank today. I'm running out of room and accumulating so many "high end" frags, some corals had to go. I bought the Two Guy Coral Inner Planet, Red Massacre Mille, TGC Event Horizon Mille, and s gold torch this week.

I tore out my red Mille

And I removed my GE Purple Orchid. That one didn't come out as nicely and is more of a jumble of branches now than a colony. New frags from Unique Coral and Two Guys Coral have been glued and I'm ready to start growing![IMG]

Wow, that growth is insane. Nice!

Also, is that a mag on the front glass?

Most people keep mag floats on the front glass... He keeps mag anemones.

The size of these colonies are intense. Makes me feel good that I decided to go with a calcium reactor

Thanks! And yes, my DT mag got on to the glass and he stayed put there so I decided to let him be. I was running out of real estate with my SPS growth so it worked out well. I don't want to get rid of him, but I also love having that side of the tank back to grow my acros. Seems like a good middle ground

ORA says the ORA Blue Iris is a slow grower, I tend to disagree... this thing is going to be touching my Hawkins in weeks!

The Pink Jade has been looking super fine lately! And the frag to the right of it is starting to show some real potential!

Took some PAR measurements in the tank today. As expected, high readings directly under the LEDs, lower towards the front of the tank and as it gets deeper.[IMG]

Performed a water change tonight to bring my Alk, Ca, and Mg up after my recent calcium reactor issue when the CO2 ran dry for a week while I was out of town. Took some pictures of some nice looking corals with the iPhone while the water level was lower.
