Performed a water change tonight to bring my Alk, Ca, and Mg up after my recent calcium reactor issue when the CO2 ran dry for a week while I was out of town. Took some pictures of some nice looking corals with the iPhone while the water level was lower.

The top pic looks like it's going to be something real nice!

I forget what thread it was but someone had a large strawberry shortcake colony growing in a weird direction. I remember they cut it off and glued it back in the direction they wanted it. They had a cup hold they colony up while it dried.

I've used disposable chopsticks to support the colony as the epoxy and superglue dried. [emoji3]

4-6 months man... That was for it to encrust and hold. It was a giant Chips colony too! You could just glue, let the chopsticks hold the weight until it sets, and then remove it.

I just received my Triton test results back for the year. I timed the test so that my water sample was collected right when corals were ticked by something (what I hypothesize as something making its way through old RO prefilters and old DI resin). So whatever it is isn't tested for by Triton, because for the most part everything looks normal...

iPhone 6s. I used some clip on macro lens I found on Amazon. Pretty generic one as far as I can tell, it doesn't even have a name on it... [emoji38]

So I accidentally dosed a whole bottle of AcroPower last night. I hadn't been dosing in a while and I thought I would start dosing again to see if there was indeed a noticeable effect. I went to purge the lines and next thing I know it's morning and I realized I forgot to turn off the dosing pump! I thought for sure it would be a disaster, but everything looks fine today. The only thing I can notice is that PO4 dropped by half and my Alk decreased slightly. Everything else seems to be stable. Just thought that I would share my experience, some people seem to believe dosing too much amino acids can be detrimental, but here's a good example of over doing it! [emoji12] Just an anecdotal example of course. Any minute now my corals will burst out of the glass and blind me with their fluorescence

No water changes, I realized it when I was leaving for work. I also wanted to see what would happen... apparently not much.
