I know I find it helpful when researching fish to have first-hand accounts, and these are a great little fish that are often overlooked.
Mine live in a semi-aggresive community with an orchid dottyback, kole tang, and six-line wrasse, among others, but they are really good at finding hideouts in the live rocks. They live in small community groups (each with their own "apartment"), which is cool, as many gobies won't tolerate conspecifics. During feeding time, they all poke their little faces out of their homes, then venture out to eat while the larger fish are busy.
They aren't flashy, but are very attractive with a reflective line that catches the eye, and they are so full of personality that their diminutive size (about 1") is just a bonus because it makes you look a little closer at your tank.
