was cleaning out my basement and found a bunch of meds which are old. Do they actually expire? Have copper power (5/25) and two bottles of malachite green which expired in 2022. Maracyn oxy (2022). All bottles are still unopened. I have no problem tossing them but if they are still good id rather have them on hand. Even though clearly I dont use them

Meds do expire and most have dates. I have used meds 2 yrs past the date with no effects and should probably be refreshed with new ones

Depends on the meds and how they were stored. In my home, I decide if they expire. Details matter.

They were in an unfinished basement since I bought them
Heat is never good for storage.

I have unopened test kits that are expired. Obviously, I don’t need them because I don’t use them. 🤭

Yep same with these. The copper power I use but I forget I even have all this stuff and just go buy new ones 😆

A couple of years. worth a chance. Four years is excessive

Some antibiotics expire, Prazipro goes bad when out of date.

Malachite green doesn’t really expire, but it is often paired with formalin and that does “de gas” over time.

May Oxy is an unknown material, I wouldn’t use it if expired.

Copper Power is still usable IMO.
