Megabite's 180 Reef - Round 2

Thanks Zack. I thought of doing just that, but since I had room and after looking more closely, it was an easy move. I will likely let others flight depending on the coral.

FYI - Torches don’t fight. They just win.
The chuck Norris of coral. Either that or galaxia lol

Alright reefing gods. I've researched quite a bit and considering getting an algae scrubber. Leaning towards a SM Surf4 or 4x. My nutrients have been rising in the last couple of weeks and now uncomfortable with where they are. Especially PO4. I just started to intervene with reduced feeding (about 40%) and increased my daily AWC by about 40% as well. Also, through in a bag of Phosguard at 1/2 strength to get the PO4 down. Although things looks good, I think it's only a matter of time that it won't. I'm starting to see a bit more algae on the rock and glass getting dirtier a little quicker. I think it's much easier to start addressing thing sooner rather than later in order to avoid a s*** show.
PO4 has been steady at .2+ for a while which is much more than I like but the corals and fish were doing well. Has been +.3 for the last couple of days. NO3 continues to average just over 20. Goal is to get to about .1 and 1.

Thoughts on the scrubber or other methods?

Quick vid today. Tank is looking fine at the moment and just want to stay ahead of potential issues.

I am pretty sure @JoJosReef ran a scrubber on his 40 and then 80 gal, and I think he has a nano version now on his 25 gal.

Yes, I'm happy that doing well. Even that bottom branch on the left side is now completely shadowed by the growth up top. I need to invent some bottom up lighting. 🙂

A few Saturday afternoon pics of happy corals.

Pink Caddy from BC - Looking very nice. Great colors.

The work on my nutrients has been paying off. I'm pretty close to goal now of about 10.0 and 0.1. I've been bringing things down slowly as nutrients kept climbing.

A little yard work today and this weekend. Re-seeded a couple of acres yesterday and finished this new stone edging today. Need to work on that bare ground where the dogs dug it all up.

Did my first ICP with the tank. Tank is just over 6 months and wanted to see how things looked.

The only real surprise to me was the aluminum. Can that be coming from some bio blocks that were from a tank I got used about 10 months ago? Also, I was not using any product like Phosguard at the time that has aluminum.
