MH duration question

How many hours does everyone run their halides for? please include tank size and wattage. thank you.

6 hours MH 8 hour T5, 250w 14k Aquaconnect with IceCap ballast, 2x 39w ATI pure actinic on a IceCap 430. Tank is a 40 breeder. I like the current combonation, and the Aquaconnects are great and last a long time before they lose their PAR.

thank you for your replies. anywhere from 4 to 10 hours? such a wide range :) is this mainly for algae control? or can intensity be substituted for duration?
