Miami hurricane GFP infection?

I have 2 mouths/eyes that have a bright green pigment in the orange. It has been like this now for at least a few months and looks like it is slowly spreading. Has anyone ever seen this before on the miami hurricane?

Hey man I have AI sol blue LED and my miami hurricane morphed into having more green in the coralites and green speckles . Really depends on your lighting I've seen brown to red looking Miami hurricanes under low lighting and mine getting green speckles under heavy blue leds. I say more color the better

Funny you posted this, I have the same thing happening to my colony. I switched to AI SOL blues 2 months ago, so maybe it can be attributed to the lighting.

Hey Ian. Mine did this as well. Anytime new eyes started growing on mine, they always started as green - then turned to pink when fully formed. I'm guessing the green you see in the mature eye is actually an eye splitting into two (if that makes sense). Certainly nothing to worry about - that colony looks as healthy as can be. This green also can carry into the tissue of the chalice as well. As above poster mentioned, it can happen under the right lighting conditions. Looks like your colony has TONS of eyes. : )

The green is not happening from a eye that is splitting. Its not the same type of green that forms on new eyes either. Its a completely different hue of green. Bright neon green.

Check out this picture of the same eye in december (upper right corner). You can see the color is stable and spreading.

Yours just looks like an immature eye/mouth that is in the process of forming. The green on mine does not blend at all.

Coralites are morphing yes, but that is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the solid neon green in the eyes/mouths.

This is why the hurricane is one of my favorite chalices because each new eye has a chance to look different weather it be orange pink red green or speckled its deff one of my favorites. Just wish i could purchase a legit one from my area : / dang shrimp ate mine

I've seen a lot of MH's with the green in the eye, I thought it was normal, lol. Didn't realize it was unusual for it- very nice looking chalice though!

Show me a picture please. Just a reminder again, this is not a newly formed eye. The piece has been like this for over 6 months (picture evidence) and spreading.
