Major rock in. Will be curious if it needs to leach PO4 more. Probably reuse another much smaller island from existing AIO on the right. Things may move

The GHL holder for float sensors, just an acrylic rod, perfectly fits in the spot where the RS float value lived. Got lucky there. Will use a high + low water mark as both an email alert + safety on the ATO and return pump. The GHL probe holder just fits.

The NYOS arrived today, big thanks to Jason & Luke at Premium Aquatics for great customer service and quickly shipping me a replacement.
Looks great. It's all hooked up and running. Letting it break it. The pump is quiet, the lid rattling on the cup is annoying but some tape or paperweight will fix that. The NYOS 120 includes a quick start manual for the 160
- This one included the pump mount w/all screws
- The venturi on this one wasn't scratched to h*ll
- This one included a NYOS brochure will all their products.
- The skimmer cup connects to the body smoothly (the other one required enough force that I never attempted to attach it)
If Premium Aquatics wasn't so cool, could have been ugly.
Good to hear the skimmer got sorted!
I was gonna say watch the GHL probe holder as I had two rust but yours looks slightly different, has 4 mags instead of 1 long one.
Looking very nice!
Nice, they must have changed design at some point.. I did have a photo somewhere but the ones i had had the single magnet like i mentioned but it was sealed on one side with a plastic strip instead of totally encased in acrylic, on both this eventually came off and exposed the magnet. Thanks! It's definitely 4 separate magnets in a single piece of arcylic. Looks very similar to my Vertex algae magnet.
Are you going try to run it on a night time light cycle?![]()
It's a bit bright. Things need to be cleaned up, but it seems functional. Using a Geo's Reef reactor, the popular AquaMaxx is sold out. Will clean up plumbing and wiring soon. Waiting on my Ikea cabinet to hold all the wiring.

+ 1The bottom fed GEO reactor is perfect with your pump.
Just sitting back and taking it all in. ;Wideyed
To me it looks like you have taken full advantage of the sump cabinet that you have and you can still get to anything in there with ease.
Looks like the NYOS has been a good choice. :)
(lol)Everyone runs Chateo in their reactor, but Algae Barn had a few macro algaes, so I put them all in. The red macro algae basically went white while running the reactor for just a 1/3rd of the night. I didn't use as much light as some people use, so I'm hoping it will be ok with the Chateo. I'm running 90 minutes on, 30 off during the night now. Will see if the Chateo is getting burnt or not.
Love the guys at Blue Tide! Great communication and even better craftsmanship. Glad you liked them too! Sump looks well put together although I did get a giggle at all the rubber bands on the reactor. ;) I used a couple of velcro ties that have held well as another suggestion.@dmw913 had Blue Tide Acrylic build her a custom dosing container, so I had them build me a custom ATO container. Same height as the sump, so it creates a shelf for my media reactor. Fits perfectly. I highly recommend those guys.

The reactor looks very DIY, need to cable wrap some items. All the plugs are in a little Ikea cabinet on the left

Love the guys at Blue Tide!
Your build thread helped me go with Blue Tide & Reef Octopus Varios, so thank you!Glad you like the Varios.
Yeah, I'm still tinkering with it. I'm genuinely worried about heat. There are lots of threads about people starting a macro-algae reactor, but few who have run them for months or a year. There are a few posts of them cracking and leaking after a long time.although I did get a giggle at all the rubber bands on the reactor.
How do you like your Nyos??? I really went back and forth between it and the Deltec
