Midas blenny not doing well

help!! my midas blenny in my QT tank started rapidly declining this morning refusing food and becoming lethargic and losing his color. he looked great a couple days ago and was eating fine. i dosed with copper this afternoon as a precaution when i noticed he didn’t eat this morning, and his color was only getting worse becoming more washed out when i checked on him several hours later. i don’t know if this is regular stress or something else, he did look slightly “dusty” so i suspected velvet but it could have been due to him losing his color, its hard to tell. his breathing seems to be doing okay but im just very worried, i dont want to lose this fish :(
any advice is appreciated.

Fish is very thin and while it appears active, may be feeding off its liver, known as Edema and not uncommon with this species

How long have you had the blenny?
What is the water quality, especially ammonia?

I don’t see velvet, but the not eating is a serious symptom…..

hi! i had him around 4-5 days in QT. unfortunately he passed overnight, ammonia was zero. he passed in less than 24h after the morning he didn’t eat. i did a water change before dosing copper. he didn’t eat, became extremely lethargic, and rapidly declined which makes me think it was velvet or even possibly brooklynella because of his severe discoloration/ fading. i don’t think it was edema like someone else had mentioned. overall i wont know because i dont have a microscope but i am so sad he didnt make it, i did all that i could for him :(
