Hello, I’ve had my 50 gal for a year and I’ve had my gold Midas blenny for about 6-8 months of that time, but he’s so skinny and hasn’t grown at all. I’ve been feeding daily, switching between frozen mysis shrimp and frozen brine every other day.
He’s eager to eat once he notices, but it looks like he grabs only a few pieces and holds them in his mouth before fully swallowing them. And by the time he’s ready for more, my other fish have eaten everything else. I always try adding a little more food for him, and have tried feeding 2x daily instead of 1x, but he does not seem to be getting any bigger or consistently have a full stomach.
My only other fish are 2 clowns and a long nose hawk, and neither of them show aggression during feeding time, so I know they’re not a problem.
Any advice to help? They’ve always been on frozen so I’m not sure if they’ll take to pellets, and as of right now, I don’t have a good pod population.
